IIT (Illinois Institute of Technology) asked for a building concept that would put sustainable construction methods and materials to the test.

The façade consists of a load-bearing structure, embedded with function modules with highly integrated building services components. The elements are distributed throughout the building envelope according to their function and the building orientation.

Due to the problem that a house of the future is not to be built, the panels of the facade could be changed time by time to test new products and concepts to keep the whole house actual or part of the future
